Well guess what?!?! The Adelaide Crows won! Arent' you happy, Supernova? You show your enthusiasm towards that team ANYWHERE in Victoria (except to my friend in neighbourhood), and they'll absolutely slash your head! THEY ARE DEFINITELY UPSET OVER THE LOSS OF ST. KILDA! Oh well, the cup goes towards Adelaide Crows, and nothing can take that back...

Oh, I swear, the grand final was spectacular!! So many people; you're right Jared - I was excited AND nervous performing in front of the crowd! But I held my St. Kilda flag and banners and screamed out "GO THE DEMONS!" Others did too, of course ;)

Never done a performance like that before, but guess what? I WAS ON TV! Yes, they caught me on camera!!! Mum's trying to put the images onto computer or machine that will print out; if that works then I will show the performance to everyone, k? It WAS a good day...

Only I hated the costume we had to wear...in case some are wondering what the hell I'm blabbing on about, I participated in the Grand Final Spectacular; where you sing, dance and marchc for the opening ceremony before the great Australian football game begins! Yes, I performed in it and I might next year...it was interesting!!

Supernova: could you please give me your email addie? Or send me a message via email, k? WEST COAST EAGLES - my friends had to dress up as them for the Grand Final opening ceremony...they weren't happy, considering they're all Melbournians! I must admit they ARE GOOD team though...

about 5 years I was running for a dream,I was running for reach my goal, Ace of base are my goal, I just want to reach them.

I lived the best years of my life with them behind me, when I was 14 years I dreamed to be like Linn and Jenny, my dream was maried with Ulf and Idream with can call "brother" to Jonas, the brother that I never had.

Maybe I stoped to run about a year ago, when Isaw behind me, and I don`t see anybody, I was running alone, and in front of me ... the goal was SO far away!!!!...my sister always laughed about me,she said that Ace of Base don`t cared about me `cause they never were respond any letter that I wrotte for them.

I was totaly disillusioned, I was very confused, I was crying all the nights, but why?, this was the reason that I make change my situation, I began to running again, I began to try to reach my goal, the most important goal in my life. They are my life, they teach me to be a human been, they teach me to be a strong person, to know that I can do ANYTHING that I wanna do, I can do it, I can reach my goals.

Today I am running and I don`t wanna stop, and I don`t gonna stop. Now, when I look back, i can see all the things that I learnt, and i can see a lot of people behind me, running with me, those people are you, you get up me of the floor and now I gonna reach the top with you.

Since we are all discussing how we've heard AOB recently, I'll tell you a story of mine. I was talking to my friend Marie on the phone, and I said "Hmm, let's see what's on the radio." She's in NJ and I'm in PA but we still get the same radio station. And guess what was on? Beautiful Life. Swear. I am not making this up. Ask Marie. It was a very weird coincidence.

Perfect World: PLEASE stop making those huge ads for your site with all those pictures. It's REALLY annoying. You can just make a text link in normal size, and maybe AT THE MOST one pic ad a week(so stop with those MFCM pics)!!! I am so tired of the long loading time of the cafe because of those pics!!!

Wow! I actually have time to post something here. Well, the countdown is now about 5-6 months till the album is released. Thanks Claes for clearing this up, although, I think the first single should be followed immediately by the album.

Liz: LID got a lot of airplay on 99.9, but the radio station changed its format a year later, so all the 'pop' groups got shown the door, and AoB is not played anymore on that station. I heard 98.5 play it when it was released.

Acers must rank among the finest in maintaining a terrific site such as the Café, without the need for any police!

There have been occasional problems, soon resolved. The guidelines are: always credit your source! The likes of Mega (where I work) and Arista (representing Mega for what concerns Ace Of Base in the Americas & Japan) make promotional material available, none of it original to the 'net. All photos have been screened and approved for publication. This is however definitely NOT the case if 'net fan clubs use material sourced from magazines, that are subject to copyright clearance before free use...

Tahnk you to all who have volunteered- it means so much to me, to see everyone being so helpful and encouraging. ;) After thinking and working on things time and time again, I have made a list of several questions for everyone to answer. This is the plan: I will make an e-mail sometime through the year...Not RIGHT now...for EVERYONE, then, I'll send it to a certain person. All YOU have to do is just answer the questions and send the e-mail back to me so I can fit it into the paper... There are certain things that need to be followed for this, however, and for ME, one rule that I have to follow is: TELL THE TRUTH AND THE TRUTH ONLY. I won't make a bunch of changes...a lot of times, NO changes. What you say will go into the paper... Things will be explained more in the e-mails...

As for right now: October 20th is the paper deadline for the first issue...One of my columns is a Net column (like I've said already) and the column has a theme: Colleges and Universities. Seeing as things are just getting started, we don't want to have a whole bunch of stuff. HOWEVER, we would like two interviews done, one being done with Claes (thanx so much for agreeing to do the interview! The interview questions are still being operated in by myself, our editor and the teacher...) AS for the second one...Because of the theme for the Net column, I think that MONA is going to have the honour of the interview at this point (thanx!). ;)

And like I've said before: if you do an interview, you get a copy of it, through e-mail or snail-mail: your choice, of course. :)

Mona: anytime in the next few days (maybe tonight), I'll send you an e-mail with the questions, 'kay? Thanx again for doing this!

So, you see, the pic on PW has gone through that exact process... Also: James Ugray and Jared Hanner are a couple of super nice guys who wouldn't committ that crime. They know to credit the source, like Claes pointed out, when they use a certain pic... There ARE other things I could say upon this, but I am taking up A LOT of Cafe space. I just ask that you reconsider this accusation, seeing as the proof just ISN'T there. And, I will say this: you are wise to defend Arista when a crime arises, but not wise to make accusations without the full story nor solid facts.

And I am sorry if you don't take too kindly to this. Really. I don't want to cause a scandal...But I would just like to see the problems sorted, the truth told, and the accusations against my friends dropped. All that I request is that you look at this seriously and that you not jump to conclusions so suddenly. It ruins the Cafe and it's PLEASANT atmosphere...

Hello Acers. How are you I am fine!

Jared= Sorry about not being here lately. I have had alot of problems lately. I've taken up programing and I've also studied Hacker programs and I stopped cause I didnt' want to get caught up in it. And today I opened a program and it sent my screen name on and password to some hacker on America Online. I first though go to change my password. So I tried and it wouldn't let me. He blocked me from changing it somehow. I was in big trouble. I called AOL and they said not to sign on under any other names cause he would get those passwords too. But I took care of him. I think. He wasn't online yet. So I ummm well did something to his account I'd rather not say. You could say he's never getting that e-mail. It wouldn't let me unsent it either. So I should be o.k. now. My hard drive was deleted 2 weeks ago and I'm still catching up on fixing it all again!

Ok, sorry to takeup this space, but you people are misunderstanding me! JUST READ THIS CAREFULLY, please! My main complaint was about the ads. Do we really need to see several pic ads in the Cafe a week. My comment should have been generalized, and not just towards PW. I did make that mistake. And how do you know that other people don't get annoyed with the pics. Don't we all know where PW and any other page is located? My point was just that it would be easier for a page to put a text link instead of a pic one. I am getting Very frustrated with this. And yes, the Cafe does take a long time to load anyway, but it certainly doesn't help to load several pics a week. Why do you people think that I'm here to start trouble? This is our(as in everyone's) Cafe, so if I or anyone else have a concern regarding it then don't you think we should be able to voice that concern? I tried to express my frustration in the nicest way posible, and, as I admited eariler, I should have made a general statement instead of pointing fingers towards PW. And I WAS NOT attacking PW!!! Did I not say in my previous message that I didn't mean to insult them, and that I infact liked their page? And as far as the picture thing, it's a sensitive area for me, since I've had several people(pic pirates) take pics from my site(which is no longer up anymore. It wasnt an aoB site) and use them, change them, claim them as their own. And to Shelly and Dave, as I said I am voicing my concern's, and by the way I've been around here longer than you and have seen flamers, religious scandals, etc. I'm one of the nicest 'trouble startes' here. You to aren't helping anything by telling me to get lost. My attitude is quite fine, and I think you need to open your mind a bit. I wasn't insulting James and Jared, or anyone else who posts pics here, it was just something that anyoys me and I was brining it to the attention to the cafe. And BTW, I'm not insulting either of you either, just so you dont take it the wrong way. And to James and Jared, I hope that you didn't take anything against you personally. Now all I ask is that if you have a site dont adverise with a pic more than once a week. I dont mind text ads, but I think we need a limit to pic ads. This idea of a limit has come up before, but I guess no one payed attention to it.

If you can all agree on this I'll once again disapear. If you wish to have further discussion about this, then post a message in here, and we'll discuss this elsewear(no need to take up more space).

it's Monday and things are hectic, frantic as always at the office, but also here in the Café... here's my 2 cents of a Danish crown's worth...

The Café, on the other hand, ranks as the slowest-ever when not refreshed properly or close to refreshing time on Fridays (this on my 28.8 lappy & modem receiving in Copenhagen, on a normal telephone line). If you have a great and original pic, work of art, new logo, put it on by all means in glorious colors - known fan pages could possibly do with a more normal link... what do you Acers and Acer fan club sysops and webmasters have to say as to some sort of compromise along these lines???

Thanks to Café Police for responding in a coherent manner despite the deluge of negative and irate postings! Now, you can surface and be a normal regular Acer like the rest of us if you wish :)

Liz and James: You guys are younger, so a strike is great for you guys, but for me, it's actually bad. I might have to repeat some of my courses in the summer or next semester if the strike goes on over a certain period of time. I only have two years left before university, so every course and mark is important. I also miss my regional tennis tournament and cross country running meets.

Hello everyone again, Min Gumma, yes I didn't intend to leave but with all the tests & everything to juggle it was hard. Let me tell you everyone, now I know why Linn dropped out as a first semester sophmore because that's what I am & I'm about tempted to take a hint from her.... In response to Denise's question about ever meeting Jonas, Jenny, Malin or Ulf, I thought you'd like to know my story. Noel the only one you never met was Jonas, & he's the only one that I ever saw. I didn't meet him, I just saw him, but it was the strangest thing. My sister & I were in Sweden this spring studying & we made several trips to Gothenburg. Well as it was we weren't even going to Gothenburg, we were just passing through to get to Oslo because we had to change trains in Gothenburg central station. And who walks past us limping & in bare feet with his girlfriend & her family, but Jonas. And the funny thing was, Birthe's parents were going home to Norway on the same train we were! And the coolest thing is, he walked right by us, like 4 feet away. Too bad Birthe was closer on our side. But that's my cool little AOB story.

I was at a bookstore this past weekend, and I found a music book with two authors (one name I remember is Luke Crampton), and they wrote an encyclopedia-like book about musicians' careers. And guess who I read???? Ace Of Base!!!! I couldn't believe it!!!!! Wow!!! It talked about their biggest lives muscially from 1992 - 1996!! Yeay!!! But, it had to show a little summary of Ulf's Euro coming out of the skinheads... :( But it showed their summary!!! Info such as birthdays, etc...!! YaY!!! :)

It plays at a different speed than the American NTSC, so if you put it in your player you can't hear or see. It's all fuzz.
